Mitsubishi Creates EVTOWN

Mitsubishi has begun a new marketing campaign for the all new Mitsubishi i EV that is going to turn a Midwestern community into a town called EVTOWN.
Similar to those electric vehicles coming to Puente Hills Mitsubishi in City of Industry, CA, one special city in the United States will be the chosen location for the debut of an innovative vehicle.
The town of Normal, Illinois is being transformed into an EV community, thanks to an alliance of businesses, government representatives and other involved parties who strongly believe electric vehicles are the future of transportation, and can pull us together as community all while protecting the environment.
"Normal EVTown is a community that is embracing new technology in an environmentally sound way," says Chris Koos, Mayor of Normal. "It is a way of imagining the future and Normal is that future."1
The all new 2012 Mitsubishi i was named the "Most Likable Car On The Planet" - this electric vehicle will turn Normal, Illinois into the EV capital of America. Mitsubishi not only plans on delivering one thousand electric Mitsubishi i's (previously known as the MiEV - Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle) to Normal, but also has plans to install thirty safe and convenient charging stations throughout the town.
This is just the beginning of a huge tour for the Japanese automaker, which will see the "i" pass through different cities and small towns throughout the United States. Will your community be next?
